In Memoriam — The Why Behind Everything

On September 11, 2001, Solomon's father ran toward the chaos when the rest of the world was running away. As a first responder, he served with unshakeable courage on the worst day in American history — breathing in what that day left behind. Years later, the health complications born from that toxic exposure took him. He gave everything. And that loss became the fire that could not be extinguished. Solomon built Sovereign Fitness in his father's honor — so that no other family has to go through what his did. Every client he trains, every life he changes, is a tribute to a man who gave his last breath in service to others.

I didn't get into fitness to become a trainer. Fitness saved me. Born and raised in New York, I was forged in competition from the time I could walk — tested in the streets, on the mat, on the field, and eventually in the sea. My faith has been the anchor through all of it.

As a high school football team captain and the number one ranked wrestler in my weight class, I learned early that leadership isn't a title — it's a daily choice to show up harder than anyone expects. Those principles followed me straight into the United States Coast Guard, where I served as an electrician and led my platoon — taking the company on marches and hikes as the person out front, setting the pace, bearing the weight, and never leaving anyone behind. I trained in mixed martial arts from the age of nine, and that discipline shaped my understanding of the human body, combat conditioning, and mental fortitude. During my time in the Coast Guard, I was part of an operation that intercepted drug smugglers attempting to bring narcotics into the United States — a reminder that service is never just a job. I serve my church as well, because faith without works is dead.

After the Coast Guard, I channeled every ounce of military discipline and competitive fire into my calling: becoming a certified personal trainer and certified nutritionist. I've spent years transforming clients physically, mentally, and spiritually — because true fitness addresses all three. Every session I deliver carries the memory of my father and the promise that no family should lose someone to a preventable health problem.
